人は言葉でたくさん助けられている。

今日被災者に電話ｲﾝﾀﾋﾞｭｰした。家を無くした４０代の女性が言った。

「私達は他人の幸せや喜びをねたむほど落ちぶれてはいない。皆さんどうぞ我慢せず楽しい時は笑い嬉しい時は喜んでください。私達も一日も早く皆さんに追いつきます」

俺は涙をこらえ笑顔でエールを送った

駅員さんに

「昨日一生懸命電車を走らせてくれてありがとう」

って言ってる小さい子達を見た。駅員さん泣いてた。俺は号泣してた

NHKの男性アナウンサーが被災状況や現況を淡々と読み上げる中、

「ストレスで母乳が出なくなった母親が夜通しスーパーの開店待ちの列に並んでミルクが手に入った」

と紹介後、絶句、沈黙が流れ、放送事故のようになった。すぐに立ち直ったけど泣いているのがわかった。目頭が熱くなった。

石巻市で、被害の状況を報道するために訪れていたスタッフを大声で呼ぶ女の子がいたそうです。救助を求めているのかと思いながら近付くと、非難されていた方々が

「皆さんも大変だからコーヒーでもどうぞ」

と、コーヒーをご馳走してくれたそうです。自分たちのことで精一杯のはずなのに。日本人て素晴らしいね。

子供がお菓子を持ってレジに並んでいたけれど、順番が近くなり、レジを見て考え込み、レジ横にあった募金箱にお金を入れて、お菓子を棚に戻して出て行きました。店員さんがその子供の背中に向けてかけた

「ありがとうございます」

という声が、震えてました。

I did telephone interview with the earthquake victims today.She who is in her 40's lost her home.But she said

"We haven't fallen so low that we begrudge someone's happy or luckly.Everyone please happy is happy,enjoy is enjoy.We will catching up yours."

I appeared on the verge of tears throughout sent smaile.

I saw a child telling a station worker

“Thank you very much for keeping the trains running yesterday.”

The station worker shed a tear. I broke into moving tears.

An NHK male news reporter steadily reads aloud the disaster situation and about the people at the evacuation centers until he comes across this news.

“This mother was so stressed out that she could not produce milk anymore. She waited all night on an extremely long line until the supermarkets opened and finally got milk for her baby.”

There was a long silence, as if you would think that there was some kind of transmission problem. He recovered rather quickly but I caught tears in his eyes, and mine, too, welled up.

A young lady was hollering at the media staff who came to report damages at Ishinomaki. Thinking that she was calling for help, the media staff went over to where she was and met several locals evacuated from their homes handing out hot coffee.

“You guys are working hard too. Have some coffee”

They have enough things to worry about themselves.
Japanese are such wonderful people.

A child was holding a snack, waiting in the checkout line. It was almost his turn as he was thinking to himself with his eyes on the register. Next minute, I saw him put the money he had into a donation box set next to the cashier. He put the snack back on the shelf where it was and left the store.

“Thank you very much”

said the store staff to his back with a slight tremble in his voice.
